Our high school bands have had a long history of successes from their founding. Our bands currently have an enrollment of 145 students over five different ensembles, spanning marching and jazz bands as well as two concert ensembles. The bands have performed across the country in various prestigious musical festivals as well as two performances at the North Carolina Music Educators Association Conference, first in 2014 and again in 2019. Clearly, the Bands have seen great success over the years, but have one large need, their tubas. Due to the high cost of tubas, the students use some of the same ones that were purchased all the way back in 1972! After many years of use, these horns and others are showing their age in a significant way. Due to their age to get these instruments fixed, we must have some parts custom fabricated. We would be overjoyed with your donation to help purchase a new tuba.
