I teach in a very poor area in southeastern Kentucky. My school is a Title I school and money to purchase technology in my school is not available. My school has a computer lab that is shared by all classes preschool through eighth grade. Due to computerized testing and high demand of this computer lab, my students simply do not have the access to technology that they truly need in today's time. Having these Chromebooks in my class will open up a world of resources to my students that will enhance their learning and instantly engage them. My students will use them for progress monitoring, research, skill practice, and projects.
