Six and seven year olds have a lot of energy, and love to move it. They are not meant to sit in a desk all day, but we also cannot run and dance all day to get the wiggles out. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately allow them to continue their learning while moving. Whether it is sitting on the floor with a stability disc, rocking on the wobble chairs, sitting on a box crate, bouncing on the yoga ball, or sitting high on a stool, all of these options will allow students to focus on their learning instead of their need to wiggle and move. Students will be able to use these flexible seating options throughout the entire day during their small group learning, independent investigation, or when at the carpet for our whole group lessons. The addition of these items will provide balance to our classroom and help every student to become their most successful self.
