My students are adults who are getting ready to integrate themselves into the workforce as part of their move towards independence. With this project, my students will be organized and prepared to look for employment and learn to manage life skills. Our Adult Transition Program is creating leaders! My students need to be motivated to work on their writing, padfolios to carry with them on job interviews, and supplies to keep their job hunt and community involvement organized. Our learning goal is for each student to log 5 community outreach moments and provide contact information for each moment. As we track and record their community outreach, my students are developing skills and establishing a network of support. My students are from a variety of backgrounds and function at a wide variety of levels. These materials help me meet them where they are at as we move towards their future.
