Economics can be a pretty boring topic for teenagers. Learning about Price Theory, Threat Point, Bargaining Theory, Trade, Positive-Sum Games, and Diversification (just to name a few) isn't really a huge hit with students. Yet, teenagers have never before had such a huge impact on the not only the national economy, but also the global economy. What if we could bring all of those concepts to life? Using The Settlers of Catan board game, we can do just that. Students can learn about the various concepts of a free market all while playing a game and building community with their classmates.

About my class
