We are requesting stools, wobble seats, lap desks and a seating bundle. As kindergarten becomes more and more rigorous, it's difficult for young students to spend such long periods of time in their hard plastic chairs. Every child is different. Some have little problem sitting, while others find it almost intolerable. A choice of alternative seating options will benefit the entire class, but especially those who struggle to focus. The wobble chairs will allow students to rock back and forth for those movers and shakers, while the floor desks will be great for those who need a little space in order to concentrate. I'm excited to see the impact this makes on the students' ability to pay attention and stay on task. My hope is that if the students have the ability to choose the best seating for them, they will be more comfortable, happy, and receptive to learning.
