By providing snacks for my students, you will help them stay focused on their schoolwork. You will also help them feel more comfortable during the day. By providing them with snacks, I'm teaching them to advocate for their needs and providing for their needs at the same time. We also have a class guinea pig that stays at school during the week. The students named the guinea pigs Jorge and Martin. I have been buying supplies for them out of my own pocket but hay, grain, and litter material add up fast! We could use bedding, food, hay, and some basic supplies. I have made houses and bins from old cardboard but having some long-lasting supplies is what we're looking for.
