I have created this project to allow my students to see diversity in the texts that they read. My current classroom library is unfortunately lacking diversity. It is my goal to provide my students with a classroom library that represents our world! By providing diverse literature to my students you are allowing them to travel the world and gain a better understanding of their neighbor. I know that books create conversation and can help build acceptance. I believe that these titles will engage my students and teach them the beauty of being different. I have chosen titles that represent so many different groups. Titles that show immigrants, strong women in hijabs, Black leaders, Spanish speakers and so much more. Thank you so much for considering this project!
