This project is geared towards bringing the coding experience down to grades K-2. These little learners are so excited to start coding and working with bots, but the bots that we currently have are really a bit hard for them to access. The materials in this project will get Kinders and 1st graders to start working with the Code and Go mice - which require no computers or fine motor skills to code them! The 1st and 2nds will work with the Ozobot wooden mazes - these mazes mean they get to start learning the skills and logic of coding, without having to have the fine motor skills that drawing Ozobot lines requires (especially at first they have a really hard time getting the codes to work because they can't control the markers the way they need to!) I would be so excited to get these little ones started in robotics in a way that is developmentally appropriate and scaffolded for them to build foundational computer science skills!
