The students at my school participate in a day of service. We spend the morning in our regular classes and then two and half hours in the afternoon working on service projects for the school, the local community and the county where we live. One of our projects is to create banners of peace and kindness that help to spread the message of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The paint will help the students create banners of Dr. King, peace, and messages of kindness. The card stock will be used to create placemats for Meals on Wheels and get well cards for sick children at the National Institute of Health (NIH).

About my class
