Gone are the days of hiding your book behind a more popular but much too difficult book cover just to save face with your peers. With these books, my students will be able to read and comprehend stories where characters are in their age group and go on grand adventures they can relate to. Decodable books at my students maturity level is socially important. The books that I have selected will help my students by giving them the ability to feel self pride for completing a book from the beginning to the end. The more books they read, the stronger readers they will become.
