This purchase will give my nonverbal kiddos a way to effectively communicate with those around them. An iPad is small and portable, unlike most switches that are available to the children at school. Many of the children with multi-handicaps that I work with experience great frustration when trying to communicate their needs, and I believe that having a device (that many of them are somewhat familiar with already) will reduce frustration both for the children, as well as myself and the teachers around them. An iPad will remove some obstacles and allow these students to thrive and meet their full potential.
