Encouraging young kids to use their imaginations in school is the focus of this project. With these pieces of furniture, I will be able to provide my students with a greater range of opportunities to play and create scenarios using their imaginations during our center time each day. Becoming a future problem solver begins with these simple moments, allowing students the chance to open their minds up while playing. The learning that takes place in my classroom is authentic, real life learning, which is being driven by the students. The storage and the dress up piece will not only enhance our center time, but also the time the students have to engage in positive social interactions with their peers. Kindergarteners are learning how to engage in appropriate social experiences each day, and my students are no exception!
