The standing tables will provide students in my mathematics classroom an alternative seating option. It will provide students that struggle to learn in the traditional sitting desk or chair the opportunity to stand and move more freely throughout mathematics lessons. There are a large number of students who learn better and listen more intently while standing rather than sitting. These five standing tables will help a large number of students stay better engaged during class time. The tables will also allow for more collaboration and partner work between students, which is a key ingredient when considering academic success in mathematics.

About my class
