The class set of Chromebooks will provide my students with the technology to practice their English Language skills on a daily basis. I am a teacher at a Title I school, and I share a laptop cart with a team of teachers. I have to check it out in advance, and I am in constant competition for its use. This does not take into consideration the days of testing the cart is not allowed to be checked out, and those are more days than I can count. A class set of Chromebooks will provide my English language learners with the opportunity to create videos to help them develop their oral language skills. They can also listen to audio books to aid them in their receptive knowledge of English. They can gain access to online materials for research reports, wherein they can practice their reading skills. Finally, they can type their written responses and receive immediate and interactive feedback through Google Docs.
