By donating to our project, each student will feel they have ownership of their learning space. They can make it their own by adding their personal items to the milk crate shelves. Their books will be stacked neatly and be organized. The desk lighting will make the reading easier in the personal "office space." Most of these students do not have a space they can call their own at home. I know that providing a personal learning space will enhance their self esteem and make the learning more important. Students will not only work harder, they will also improve their learning!.
