I teach an unique and exciting class. Students gain insight into a variety of career fields by using tools and building items to experience these careers. Most Junior High students have a little or no understanding of the types of careers available. Some students know exactly what they want. My class provides visibility and awareness to the student to plant the seeds for their future whether they are college bound or trade school bound. As a teacher, my role in this class is to plant seeds and start the process of cultivation. It is truly exciting. My students build CO2 powered cars, air powered rockets, fly drones, build frames and trusses then test them, explore alternative forms of energy, CAD, Game Development, Tear down engines and learn the intricacies of photography. * I will use the light board to communicate daily activities and messages in a unique way versus the plain old whiteboard. *The Lowes certificate will be used to purchase wood to make robotic platforms for my robotics class so students can have an environment that matches those of competitions. * The Multimeter will be used in my electronics and alternative energy modules.* * The TpT will provide photography lesson plans.
