My class will be assembling bags of goodies to help put a smile on the faces of Public Safety in the Northwest Arkansas Area in the Spring Semester. We are a self-contained, special education classroom and the students will learn how to assemble the goodie bags and deliver the bags to most of the agencies we are planning on going to. This will help those in Public Safety know that they are appreciated. We will also honor the life of the Fayetteville Police Officer, Officer Carr, who was recently killed in the area. The items on my list are not all that we need, but it is a start. I am hoping we can get more donations when the time comes. I am a former police officer (turned Special Education Teacher) and know what it is like to feel unappreciated.
