Our school follows the EL curriculum. Part of this curriculum requires that our scholars work in small group centers each day. Two of the five centers they go to is word work and writing. In word work scholars are to write their sight words using different utensils. For example, one day they will write with markers, the next might be color pencils, after that it might be crayons or stamps. For writing the students are to free write, use ditto sheets, or create "books". We are asking for magnetic letters and stamps to help build words from our sight word lists. The sight word daily activity set will give them another option to choose on how they would like to write their sight words. Other materials will foster fine motor skills and help with learning to write.
