The creation of this club will offer the opportunity for our students to access expensive gaming technology. The Quest Virtual Reality system will offer a physical activity that does not seem like exercise. Through game play our students will improve motor skills, physical fitness, reduce mental stress, and create positive interaction with peers and staff. Having an a VR Club will help strengthen our school culture and community. We are asking for one system to begin our "Quest". An additional silicone face shield and antibacterial wipes are needed to ensure proper hygiene when sharing the VR system. The requested hand-grips are needed to prevent damage and injury by keeping the controllers secured to the player's hands. While the Quest headset has an internal battery that is rechargeable, the hand controllers run on standard double AA's that will need to be replaced often. Rechargeable batteries will ensure continued game play and make the club environmentally friendly. The Chrome cast will allow for multiple spectators to view the player's experience when connected to an external projector, which we have. Alternative resources will be used to purchase games as they are not available through Donor's Choose providers.
