This listening center is vital to bring our classroom literacy learning up to what my students need to move along in their reading confidence and success. I had an older version of this exact center, but it only lasted 25 years, and now needs replaced as it no longer works. Not having this center, makes me realize what an important role it played in helping my students learning success. First grade is a key year in moving students along in their literacy skills, which is why this listening center is a key tool in helping move students along in their learning.
