The items I've selected will help with my social skills, motivation, behavior management, and crisis intervention group therapy. The books will allow the children to be able to read about mental health but from a perspective in which they will be able to identify more with. All of the items selected will be beneficial to many of my students who have anger problems, anxiety, and/or cognitive impairments. The sensory items will help many of my students by helping to deflect their problem onto another item such as a de-stress ball or fidget spinner. The board games will allow my students to learn how to work together with other people that they may not have interacted with in the past. Overall, the items will definitely help my students to strive, thrive and grow into successful individuals.
