My students truly enjoy using white boards and markers. Math seems to come alive when they are allowed to use the boards rather than write in their books/notebooks. They work collaboratively, and if the white boards are being used, the mathematical conversations come alive. They help one another and discuss the concepts because they are fully engaged during the class. Their explanations tell me that they are grasping the concepts. They use the boards to show one another how they solved the problems. It's as if they have become the teacher. I have seen such a difference in the way they receive a lesson. These supplies will help me have enough markers throughout the year. I know the students will certainly be grateful for these great supplies.
