I want to engage students in their own personal history. I will loan out this equipment to my GT students to make a personal history of their own lives, family genealogy, or community member. My hope is that students will learn the power of capturing events in images as a manner to add to the historical record and to enhance the local history of our community through their documentation. I am hoping to partner with a local museum and possibly sharing student works with them to collect and categorize. Students will then see not only their impact on history, but a true simulation of historical documentation and preservation.
