We are a rural district on the Texas border where the majority of the students come from a low socioeconomic background and their primary language is Spanish. Many of these students are children of recent immigrants who want the "American dream" for them. My students work hard to learn English as well as skills to help them succeed and attain the goal their parents sacrificed for. Many of my students will be the first to graduate from their families and set the expectation for their siblings. As their teacher, I want to help my students become successful not just in education but also in life. As we embark on our distance learning journey, I want to be able to offer my students access to technology that will help them continue their learning.
