Working with my students these supplies are what they requested to help them calm down in stressful situations. These supplies will create a safe space for students to better manage and cope with their daily struggles. I hope to teach my students healthier methods for calming down when angry, anxious, or depressed instead of resorting to unhealthy options. This space serves as a haven for them to be themselves and learn to manage their emotions in a way that works for them. Each item has a specific purpose catered to different emotional responses students might experience. As they transition to life outside of high school, the healthy lifestyle choices they learn in my classroom will carry over into their adult life. By setting them up for success now, together we are preparing each other for a better emotional future.
