With the current battles we are all fighting with COVID-19, the challenge will be even greater for the students to get basic supplies needed for success. Being that I am supporting students from low-income backgrounds, it will be very hard to get the typical support of my students and their families financially with school supply lists. Because I will be transitioning from one job to another with a gap of three months, I will be without an income for those key months for finding the things they need to be successful. These items will ease the stress students may face to access the materials during such an anguishing time while also assisting me as a first-year teacher to get the things needed to manage my classroom both virtually and in person. With these tools, the students will be able to achieve our school's mission, "to provide opportunity and to EDUCATE, EQUIP, and EMPOWER global graduates for success in school, community and beyond."
