Gardening supplies will be used to grow and cultivate plants that will put in glass jars and covered by a mentstruum to produces a certain type of plant medicine ie teas, syrups, tinctures, oils. In teams, students take on different aspects of running an herbal apothecary business such as product production and prototyping, advertising and distributing, and business economics- all while mastering basic scientific curricula! This course provides a real-life hands-on experience where students get to practice the skills they learn in their science classes. We are trying to expand our program with basic supplies as well as an indoor plant light so we can continue our efforts through the winter months by creating an indoor herbal greenhouse. Additionally, students have shown such creative passion while designing posters to educate the public about the health properties of plants. This project would also fund a drawing tablet to our advertising team so their artwork can be displayed on the products we create.
