One of the biggest barriers preventing my students -- especially those with young children -- from getting to and from school, is lack of proper clothing during the harsh Michigan winter. I want to provide the essentials, so they can continue their momentum towards achieving a high school diploma. Most of my students use public transportation, which means they will walk several blocks, wait for connections, and spend a prolonged period of time in dangerously cold temperatures. Without proper outerwear, getting to school becomes extremely uncomfortable and even dangerous during the coldest winter days. Please help me show them we believe in their success by providing the proper outerwear for the season!
