My students are so excited about learning and love to read. Many of my students do not always have access to books at home. The students are able to take books from our classroom library to read at home. However, there are not enough books for them to always choose different books throughout the school year. I am hoping to increase the number of guided reading books in our classroom library so that my students are able to read new books every week to promote their interest in reading and improve their reading levels. I believe that guided reading books will reach their minds and social emotional books will reach their hearts. I want my students to improve socially, emotionally, and mentally as well as academically. Social emotional books will help my students become better individuals toward themselves and others. I am hoping that reading these books will promote kindness, empathy, awareness, and so much more. This will in turn create a more warm and loving classroom environment. I look forward to seeing my students blossom into well-rounded individuals.
