Exposure to STEM technology helps to create students who are thinkers, problem solvers, and discoverers. My goal is to expose my special needs students to STEM-based activities. Offering differentiated lessons integrated with STEM technology would provide them with the educational opportunities to become the best learners that they can be. The use of STEM technology, within the classroom, would allow my students to benefit from both visual and interactive elements of learning while keeping them interested and engaged. This technology will not only promote critical thinking skills, but it will encourage student engagement and social skills which many of my special needs students lack. Having hands-on STEM projects to enhance their educational experiences helps to provide just what they need to facilitate their learning and to provide unlimited opportunities for educational, social and emotional growth.
