Scholars at my school have the rare privilege to learn in person during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Teaching during this time has been my greatest pleasure; however, I take great seriousness in assuring that I do my part to keep them healthy. With that, this school year has limited our ability to share materials in the classroom and is the reason that our class is in need of new pencil boxes. Each of the 27 scholars in the class need a new pencil box that can hold their pencil, eraser, dry erase marker, and crayons. Furthermore, we have not been able to engage in literacy centers as usual. The sensory gel boards will be used in place of a center and will still provide the sensory engagement that scholars need.
