I am consistently striving to improve my teaching abilities and make changes to improve my teaching effectiveness. To maximize instruction time and to clearly present teaching material, I feel that the teaching easel included in this project would be extremely beneficial. While teaching virtual lessons on Zoom, the teaching easel can be used to write/draw teaching material, create anchor charts, and even display morning messages on the lined side of the easel. When schools are open again for face-to-face learning, I will utilize the teaching easel to display pocket charts, such as a “Question of the Day” activity for students to answer daily questions as a part of their morning routine, to create anchor charts during interactive read alouds, and to teach whole and small group lessons. The storage area will also be helpful in storing and organizing bins for my differentiated learning groups during math and literacy instruction. The possibilities are endless when it comes to using this teaching easel and I know my students’ learning will be greatly impacted whether the school year is completed virtually or in person.
