I do not have any mono printing materials in my room. I believe this art form/method is ideal for teaching this without students getting overwhelmed. The Gelli plates are so versatile that we can explore many types of mediums, and get comfortable with using them . I believe this will prove to them they can “Art” and will build confidence. That confidence will encourage them to challenge themselves and have fun at the same time. My plan is to explore tempera, acrylic, crayons, akua, and more with these plates. We can put the prints on a variety of papers as well ex explore the use of every day objects for making texture and more.
