With these materials, I can introduce my inner city students to new worlds, new cultures, new ideas and beliefs that they may not be familiar with through the use of art. The students will be able to create african masks, native american dream catchers, create intricate henna designs, draw, design, and watercolor paint different types of landscapes and cultural landmarks using perspective drawing and shading techniques. The use of the needed materials will help to engage my students in active, hands-on learning, which research shows is the best way for kids to learn. My students will benefit from this!
