The guitar is the most common instrument to accompany any song or play solos. It is present in every kind of music and it is true to us at this Title I, Whittier school. Students are so excited to come and play guitar that our school has to severely limit the number of students in each trimester for the guitar class. By these restrictions, many other students miss the opportunity of a lifetime at this crucial age. Our school has only 9 acoustic guitars and many more students who want to pursue this instrument. We constantly make modifications to accommodate the overwhelming interest. Through this project, I aim to increase the number of guitars available at our institution so we can give the opportunity for more students to learn their chosen electives and create a much larger guitar program than ever before at this school. I have chosen the cheaper version entry-level guitar so less funding can provide more guitars. Should there be more budget from your donors, I aim to furnish the school with 10 guitars in total according to the previous interests of students. This help would truly give them a Christmas present. We are grateful in advance for any consideration and future help that might come in the way of my waiting students.
