Each day in our first-grade classroom, students work diligently to develop their reading skills. At the beginning of the school year, most students were just beginning to blend letter sounds together to read short vowel words. After months of practice students' skills have progressed, and many students have now begun to see themselves as readers! In order to help students continue to grow as readers, they need to be able to have access to a variety of good-fit books throughout our school day. The seat storage sack will be placed on students' chairs, and will allow students to have immediate access to books they have chosen from both our classroom and school libraries. This will allow them to read at multiple times throughout each school day without the need for an extra transition! By donating to our project, you will be providing students with a place to organize, and have easy access, to multiple books they are excited about reading throughout each school day. Your donation will help to promote a lifelong love of reading in little ones who are just discovering the magic that can be found in a book!
