In the twenty-five years I have spent in the field of education I have learned that children learn by doing, and students of all ages love LEGO’s. When students are given the right tools they will be highly motivated to learn. All students in my STEM classes will use the Engineering Design Process and STEM concepts to further their understanding of the world around them. The LEGO STEM curriculum will provide my students opportunities to engage in hands-on real- world learning experiences that will foster critical thinking, and collaboration.Whether we are exploring force and motion, animal adaptations, electricity, or cell structure my third, fourth, and fifth graders will learn to become confident innovators capable of facilitating their own learning.
