The Title I school that I work for has limited computers that are often broken, missing many keys, or die before students can use them. This project for simple tablets will allow students the opportunity to have computer time everyday. They will be for our classroom use only, and they will always have chargers readily available as they won't have to leave the classroom! Students often don't get to use the computers, but now they will always be able to access the web and educational sights whenever they need through this project. The biggest source of technology that the students will use this for is Classworks intervention and AR testing. Students need more access to technology that won't lose keys making it confusing for them to learn a keyboard, or won't die before the day is over. My students want to meet their goals and show growth, and these tablets will make this possible. It also gives them access to online reading such as ReadWorks, where they can read, answer questions and be assessed online.
