I have the wonderful pleasure of facilitating math and science education for 25 compassionate learners in beautiful Northern Maine. Knowing that I am responsible for preparing my students for the future and that computer science skills will be both a necessary and integral part of their lives, I want them to have access to the world of computer programming through coding. By having the ability to work with peers and immediately recognize coding success (or the need to implement a plan B) on a multi sensory computer science journey, my students will truly be preparing for tomorrow’s world. The product that I am requesting will enable the participation of all of my students in cooperative coding lessons and projects. The use of this product will also enhance students’ communication skills as learners will be sharing their ideas and growth in coding with peers through daily/weekly activities and presentations of final projects. To be able to allow my students a glimpse into the world of computer science in rural northern Maine would be a blessing as well as a commitment to my learners’ success.
