Each day I strive to make learning fun and meaningful for my students, even though many students do not like Math and find it difficult. These resources will assist me with this challenging task. The computers will allow my students to engage with the technological world and practice their math skills in a more engaging way. There are numerous educational sites that allow students to practice their mathematical skills while playing games which helps to make learning fun. Our textbook provides on online version which if utilized, will help me create a paperless classroom. I also use computers in my classroom to teach graphing skills, budgeting, and spreadsheets. Students must be engaged for learning to take place. With this project, I am trying to increase my classroom supply of math manipulatives so more lessons can be engaging and fun. Work will not have to take place on paper when students can use models to show their work. Using models and objects that can be manipulated will not only help my students learn important concepts, but it will help them understand why these concepts are important.
