As a stay-at-home mom returning to the work force this year, I am extremely excited to be working in such a loving and fun teaching environment. Heading back to the classroom after a seven year hiatus can be an overwhelming challenge. I am in need of many supplies in order to successfully engage my students. One of my favorite roles as an educator is teaching the love of reading. In my classroom, we use picture books throughout the day to teach math, social studies, science, social and emotional goals, and much more. Picture books are the spring board for most lessons as well as an enriching and enjoyable experience for our learners.
