These students deserve a safe, respectful learning environment. The books will be used for story time and positive interaction. The board games will assist with small group learning time to focus on specific skills such as: kindness, sharing, creativity, and organizational skills. The flexible seating will be used to reward students and make him/her feel special (in the special chair of the day). The creativity materials increase student interest and will be incorporated with writing skills. Evidence based research shows that fidget toys help students focus on learning. Everyone deserves the chance to fly! The students really deserve to have special books, fidget toys and prizes. The materials will make a difference in the students learning in many ways! First, they look forward to working on behavior and academic goals. Secondly, students will be able to choose the specific reward he/she desires. Third, these materials will provide incentives to increase positive behavior, assist students with calming strategies, and increase self esteem. The students are so excited to know they have met a behavior or academic goal. They look forward to earning incentives, prizes, and rewards!
