My class is very lucky in that we have been granted 1:1 chrome books. Using technology is a wonderful way to differentiate learning for my students. The programs we use range from Kindergarten up to 8th grade. Each student is working to fill in those gaps in their education, which is amazing. The problem is, WE CAN'T HEAR. While the chrome books are amazing, all of the noise they generate is causing problems in the classroom. Students can not hear what their own chrome book is saying, so then the volume war starts. Having headphones for everyone would solve this problem and make better use of our technology. Additionally, these headphones have a mic. Recently, our school reviewed data, and students are scoring poorly on the speaking part of an annual test we give. Having a mic will allow my students to record themselves and listen to how they sound. This will help them practice for the speaking test they will be given later this school year.
