Hands on work, along with small group intervention helps students master mathematical concepts. We have a limited number of older, geometric tools, requiring students share, rather than complete activities at the same time. We are also running short on consumable items. A class set of geometric tools will allow my students to complete constructions along with their classmates. Consumable items such colored pens, expos and chart paper help us during small group meeting times to document new thinking and share ideas with fellow classmates. We are always in need of batteries for our calculators that are used daily in class.
