In a class of 30 students, the Lexile levels span from 650 - 1550. I need a way to engage ALL readers in the class and help set them up for success in high school. If we can use a text that addresses Shakespeare on an easy to understand level right next to the original text, more students will be inclined to participate and delve into the challenge. Additionally, it is my hope that we can make learning about Shakespeare and his works even more memorable by incorporating a "talk show" that discusses the play in-depth through character analysis and inferring. After the reading and the role play, students will have to write a literary analysis.
