These books will help support my nonfiction library. Having a variety of nonfiction books at hand will allow my students to learn about a wide range of topics. Each student needs to keep an abundant supply of books in their book boxes to read during independent reading. Not only will my students learn about new subjects, but they will also practice decoding, build fluency, and improve comprehension. During reading, my students also share what they read with their classmates. These nonfiction books will allow my students to inform their peers about various subjects. Talking about these books will allow for meaningful conversations among my students.
