With 28 third graders this year, I have many different learning styles! Each student is unique and these flexible seating options will allow them the ability to work in a way that is best for them. Many students tip and rock in their chairs while sitting, which can be a safety concern. With wobble chairs, students can get that energy out without the risk! Other students work better sitting at the carpet, laying on their stomachs, or working in a location other than their desk. The clipboards are essential for these students to complete their best work in those areas. I stress in my classroom that students need to know their bodies and what works best for them to learn. Giving students options allows them to discover what works for them and what doesn’t. Think about yourself and your own workspace. It’s hard to sit at a desk all day comfortably and give your best effort, isn’t it? That’s how many of my students feel daily. These flexible seating options and clipboards will allow my students to to enhance their learning within the classroom.
