I am looking to introduce coding to my students in our increasingly technology reliant world. This because real to students when they can code and see something physical respond, like a robot! I chose these robots specifically because coding can be exciting for all ages. However, our kindergarten and 1st graders are often limited by their reading abilities. With Ozobots, even our youngest student can code with these robots. In kindergarten and 1st grade, I will provide a template for students to draw their code. When they receive a robot, they will be able to see their code working in a real life physical object. To my older students, I will give them more of a challenge by integrating their Ozobot experience into other aspects of their day. Students will be found using Ozobots to retell a story or model a scientific concept or process.
