This is my first year teaching reading to elementary students; therefore, I do not have a large classroom library. It currently consists mostly of fiction chapter books and picture books. My goal is to provide quality nonfiction books to help foster a love of reading in all of my students. These books will not only support my second grade curriculum, but it will help students find new a genre they enjoy reading. I truly believe these books will get students excited about reading informational topics, while helping them dive into analyzing non-fiction text. Those skills will help them in the years ahead.
